Department of Accounting organized the Frst annual open day under the title of "Goodness exists as long as we live". The day included several events and activities that included: the charity dish, handicrafts and a paintings exhibition. In addition students within the depertment presented a number of poems, songs and sketches.

 Attendees included the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Dean of Students Affairs along with the department heads, managerial staff, students within the college and members of the local comunity.


The Accounting Department held a workshop titled “Accounting graduates’ competencies desired by employers” The workshop aimed at identifying the knowledge, skills, and values the accounting graduate needs to posses in order to compete in the market. Participants included Mr. Haron Nassar; the director of Irbid income and sales tax, Mr. Ibrahim AlJarrah, a tax auditor, and Mr. Mohamed Kandil, head of quality assurance at the Housing Bank.

A delegation from the accounting faculty including Dr. Iaad Sartawi, Dr. Mahmoud Odat and Mr. Mohamed Ebwini accompanied with a group of students visited King Hussein charitable society for orphans in Irbid. The delegation toured throughout the orphanage with Mrs. Ferial AlJarrah the director of the society who explained for the delegation a brief on the services provided for the orphans. At the end of the tour the delegation handed a set of tangible donations presented from the faculty and students at the accounting department.
